Private Classes
Private classes are more effective to students and couples in
many ways. Some private classes have immediate impact, once they understand the concept or they feel how their body should
move or response, they changed totally in just one class. Many students come to us hoping to correct some
long time problems which they have struggled for a while, like, "we have problems always in Giros, can you tell
us how to improve it?" or "i can never do a good boleo, can you correct me?" ... and some they just come to say "i just
want to improve, but i don't know what i should do, pls tell me ... " . In many private classes, we don't teach
steps, but we teach the quality of each movement with style and feelings, and aesthetic refinement, which is not easy
to be taught in group classes ... So, private classes are really more effective for personal refinement.
We also do private classes for Wedding Dance and Stage Tango.
Private Classes
Rates (for 1-2 students)
1 teacher to 1 - 2 students : $700/hr * ($600/hr discounted
package price)
2 teachers to 1 student :
$800/hr * ($700/hr discounted package price)
2 teachers to 2 students :
$900/hr * ($800/hr discounted package price)
Studio rental of $130 per hour is not included in the
tuition fee above.
* We offer discount of $100.-less each hour for packages
of at least 4 hours in total. We encourage students to take a number of classes with us so that we can guide
you through the progress. To enjoy the discount, we need you to schedule the dates and times of the 4 classes before
starting of the first class, you can still make changes occasionally, but it can help to secure studio
bookings at your desirable time.
Private classes will be conducted at our OTROTango Dance studio. If
you prefer other location, additional fee might be required depending on locations.
Small Group Private Classes
Rate for 4-6 students
We introduce Small Group Private Classes because we have been requested for something in between
group classes and private classes.
For some students, private classes are too expensive, but group classes may not fit their time schedules and they may
not get enough attention to correct their problems. So, small group private is a very good solution with these features
: -
- Cost - Big reduction from normal 1:1 private classes
- Time - More flexible to fit your schedule
- Venue - at our studio or CWB, Central, Wanchai, Jordan ... studios at your
choice
- Content of Classes - Target your areas of interest
- Classmates - Join with friends at similar levels
In these group privates, we shall only have 2-3 couples, and students can group friends at similar levels to take the
classes. They can request what they want to learn, and then we work on those areas in particular to solve their problems.
Or they can just leave it to us to teach what we think they should work on. It's like condensed group classes with more individual
attention.
1 teacher to upto 3 couples : $700/hr (or $600/hr ** discounted package price for at least 6 hrs and
with NO change of scheduled time and venue of any class by students). Studio
rental is not included in the tuition fee above which is normally $90-150.- per hour depend on locations.
2 teachers to upto 3 couples
: $900/hr (or $800/hr ** discounted
package price for at least 6 hrs and with NO change of scheduled time and venue of any class by students). Studio rental is not included in the tuition fee above which is
normally $90-150.- per hour depend on locations.
** We offer $100.-/hr discount for packages of at least 6 hours in
total. You can either have 4 classes x 1.5 hour or 6 classes x 1 hour. To enjoy the discount, we
shall discuss with your group to fix the schedule in advance. If there is any change of schedule,
an extra admin fee of $100.-/hr will be required.

Cancellation Policy
As our timeslots for private lessons are limited and we always would like to fit everyone into their desirable timeslots,
when there're students who cancel the lesson on the day, it would be difficult for us and unfair to the students who requested
for lessons but are rejected by us as we don't have timeslots for them, like some overseas visitors who
only come to HK over the weekend once in a while, and some others who need to take leave from work to take the lessons
because our timeslots during weekends or at nite time are full. Due to the above reason, we would like to introduce a cancellation
policy for private lessons. All cancellation or changes of time of classes must be informed 48 hours in advance.
If not, you will have to incur the cost of studio fee plus 50% of the instructor's fee.
Please help us by keeping
the schedule once it's confirmed, or informing us any changes well in advance so that we can rearrange our other students
if you cancelled or moved your timeslots. We hope you can understand this. Thanks a lot!
